The Brambletye fruit farm in Forest Row, East Sussex is home to the Lohman Brown hens, which are allowed to roam freely throughout the orchards. The chickens are kept in small flocks and housed in movable structures spread across 60 acres of biodynamic orchards. They are raised without the use of antibiotics and are fed 100% locally sourced organic feed with no artificial enhancers. The hens are free to roam 24/7, guided by the cockerels. This promotes natural behaviors and allows them to forage for their food.
